Theory Test for Mopeds
If you wish to drive a moped with an engine no bigger than 50cc that can go no faster than 31 mph on UK mainland roads then you will be required to pass the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training).
This training program comprises of five core elements, which includes the theory test for mopeds.
The only time you don't have to take the CBT to drive a moped is if you passed your full car driving licence before February 2001 or if you hold a full motorcycle license.
The CBT qualifies you to drive a moped on the road for 2 years, at which time you either need to take your full DVSA bike test or retake your CBT.
The theory test for mopeds is very similar to that for cars and full motorcycles and includes both multiple choice and hazard awareness questions. So book your CBT training course today and get riding.
